50 Cent: I Sold 700,000 On A Dud

March 24th, 2008

50 Cent has launched a scathing attacked on his hip-hop rival Fat Joe, posting a video in which 50 Cent criticizes his fellow rapper’s album sales, and attends a mock-funeral for Fat Joe.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, also pokes fun at his own previously lower-than-expected first week album sales, stating, "I did 700,000 (copies) on a dud, n*gga!"

The bitter rivalry between the two rappers has intensified over recent weeks, as Fat Joe prepared to release his new album, ‘Elephant In The Room’, with 50 Cent releasing a free mix-tape download via his website entitled ‘Elephant In The Sand’ on the same day.

50 Cent slams Fat Joe’s first week album sales of just over 46,000 as "terrible", while boasting that download figures of the free mix-tape is over the 400,000 mark. He appears on the video talking about the rivalry saying, "For me, I’m sparring, I’m having fun. I do 700,000 (copies) on a dud ni**a!"
