US television network ABC isn’t happy with Adam Lambert following American Music Awards performance, canceling another of his scheduled appearances, this time an outdoor concert planned for Jimmy Kimmel Live On December 17.
The net had already pulled the pin on an interview with Good Morning America scheduled for the day after the show, with a spokesperson telling EW, “We decided not to move forward with the booking at this time.”
However, the rep gave no reason why they canceled the interview and performance.

ABC didn't hesitate to use Adam to boost their ratings. When he messed up, now they are out to crucify him. How admirable that a powerful network has made it their mission to destroy the career of a 27 year old kid. Adam has worked for years to break into the music industry. He has a great work ethic, and many outstanding television performances under his belt from Idol and since. His reputation as a professional and as a grounded, decent guy by those who have worked with him is well documented. He made a huge error in judgment. He has been censured, the recipient of an avalanche of criticism and hate messages from people, and now faces the possible ruination of all of his hopes and dreams. Good job, ABC.

Unfortunately, Kris, Adam did this all on his own. If he has been working so long and hard on his career, then you would think he would be more mindful of the public opinion of his performance beforehand. It's not about being gay. Elton John has been openly gay since the 70's, and you don't see him writhing around touching himself and necking onstage with his partner while he is giving a performance. His personal life and his stage performances are two different things. The difference is, Elton *knows* the difference and keeps his sexual preferences out of it, because that's not what entertaining is about. This isn't about the network. It's about all the offended people who WATCH the network. And Adam should have known the difference.
