With more attention paid to his sexuality rather than his singing in his run to the American Idol finale, Adam Lambert has finally confirmed “that I’m gay,” in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
“Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters,” Lambert told the mag. “But I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.
He continues, “I didn’t want the Clay Aitken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullsh*t. I need to be able to explain myself in context.”
Additionally, an announcement was made today (June 9) that Lambert has signed on with 19 Entertainment and RCA Recordings for the release of his debut album, which is expected in the fall.
