Alice In Wonderland Smashes Avatar Opening Record

Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland has smashed the opening weekend record that was set just a few months ago by Avatar, pulling in over $210.3 million worldwide.
The Johnny Depp flick made 70% of it’s takings from 3D screenings, making $116.3 million in North America and Canada and $94 million around the planet, becoming the biggest winter opening ever.
To date, Avatar is still the biggest movie of all time, making over $2.6 billion.
