‘American Idol’ judge Paula Abdul has denied a US tabloid story that stated that her "live-in boyfriend" is about to propose, after he was spotting shopping for an engagement ring.

In Touch magazine reported that JT Torregiani "held court in a VIP viewing room at Tiffany & Co. in Beverly Hills, where he checked out a selection of engagement rings."

An ‘insider’ is quoted saying that, “He didn’t seem to have a budget, but definitely wanted something that would impress Paula.”

However, Abdul has denied the rumors, telling Ryan Seacrest on his Los Angeles radio show, "I am not engaged!"
