Amy Winehouse has applied for a visa to enter the US for this Sunday’s Grammy Awards, with the troubled singer taking a break from rehab to visit the US Embassy in London.
The 24-year-old is up for an award for Album of the Year, for her album ‘Back To Black’, as well as Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
She has spent the last couple of weeks in a drug rehabilitation facility, after video footage taken by a British tabloid allegedly showing Winehouse smoking crack cocaine was leaked.
A rep for Winehouse informed The Sun newspaper, "The appointment at the US Embassy was made some time ago and was part of the process for obtaining a visa. No decision has been made about the Grammys."
