A judge has prevented a Texan doctor and his wife from distributing footage of Anna Nicole Smith’s breast augmentation surgery, recorded during the procedure in 1994.
A memorabilia dealer received the tapes from the operating doctor, who had obtained his patient’s permission to record operations with promises of confidentiality “during the patients lifetime,” MSNBC reports.
The footage, which had been edited down to five n=minutes and scored with music similar to the ‘Jaws’ movie theme, was called “truly disgusting” by Smith’s ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, last year.
“It was clear that Anna Nicole was unconscious during the videotaping,” Birkhead said in a declaration. “And even more disturbing, the videotape focused on areas of her nude body that were unrelated to the location of the surgery.”
Judge Mitchell Beckloff issued the decision to prevent the distribution of the video, following a lawsuit filed last year by Howard K. Stern, the executor of Smith’s estate.

Of all of the trashy lawsuits associated with ANS, at least the outcome of this one is respectable.
