Authorities arrested DMX in Florida on Tuesday (December 9), after a warrant was issued for failing to appear in court last Friday.
The troubled rapper was scheduled to face 13 felonies, including drug possession, animal cruelty and identity theft charges, but failed to show up for his court appearance.
His attorney, Charles Kozelka, told the judge that DMX had been in and out of rehab facilities over the past few weeks, however, the court ruled this was an unacceptable excuse and issued the warrant for his arrest.
Kozelka informed the media of his clients arrest, telling AZCentral.com that it’s likely he’ll be jailed for some time.
