Tori Spelling has announced that she is expecting a baby girl, telling People magazine that she was "shocked" by the news when told by her doctor.

Discussing the impending birth, Spelling revealed, "We were shocked when the doctor said the ultrasound showed a girl! Since Dean has Jack [his son from a previous marriage] and now Liam, I always kid him that he’s shooting only boys." 

Spelling, who is due to give birth this Summer, said she "immediately started crying" when doctors confirmed the baby’s gender. 

"I’ve always wanted a little girl since I’m such a girly girl, and Dean always wanted a little girl as well," she said.

"I couldn’t believe it. I have my beautiful little boy and now I’ll have my little girl! It’s amazing."
