Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck welcomed a baby daughter on Tuesday night (January 6), with the actress giving birth in Los Angeles, her rep has announced.

Garner first officially confirmed details of her pregnancy, despite sporting a noticeable baby bump, in August last year (2008) telling Access Holywood, “Oh no I’m not pregnant. I just had a lot of carbs for breakfast. It’s just – what do they call it – a breakfast pouch? Bunch?”

Her rep released a simple statement announcing the news saying, “Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl.”

The couple are yet to release the the name or details of their new daughter and sister to 3-year-old Violet.
