Beyonce Slays Critics With Hot Live Performance

April 24th, 2009

Triple-threat superstar Beyonce Knowles – who can sing, dance and act – has proven that the leaked internet recording of her supposedly singing off-key was a fake, when she wowed audiences today with a flawless performance on The Today Show.

An Internet prankster has come forward and admitted that the recording of Knowles was faked, after shock jock Howard Stern aired the audio, in which she appeared to screech along to her hit single, ‘If I Were A Boy’.

The dodgy rendition, which was altered from Knowles’ performance on The Today Show last November, quickly circulated online, prompting her manager and father Mathew Knowles to release a statement saying, anyone who “question[s] Beyonce’s vocal ability, they’ve gotta be an idiot.”

“I haven’t heard this (the recording), but I know whoever did it said it’s a complete joke,” Beyonce told Matt Lauer on The Today Show thismorning.

“It’s so amazing to me that someone in their home can just do a little prank and it can end up on this major radio station. People really were like, ‘How could you believe that? This is really over the top.”

The superstar went on to silence her critics – and proved that her vocals are flawless – when she performed her new single, ‘Halo’.
