Beyonce’s Rep Defends Curvy Dress

Beyonce Knowles’ rep has defended internet gossip claiming the singer had gained weight, following a photo of her in a dress that accentuated her hips.
The pic of Knowles in the Thierry Mugler dress, drew criticism from the blogging community and sparking calls that she had packed on the pounds, however, her rep and the dress designer have said it was the couture, not the star.
“This is not a weight-gain issue,” her rep informed Us magazine. “Beyonce is
in the best shape of her life. The exaggerated hips are a design
element of a truly couture dress. Beyonce has always loved this dress.”
According to a spokesperson for Mugler, the dress was reduced to fit Knowles’ 19 inch waist, a reduction of 4 inches from it’s origianl design for Jerry Hall.
“The padded hips intentionally focus attention to the waist,” the rep explained.
