Bill Murray: I Was Broken After Divorce

Bill Murray has described his condition as “broken,” after divorcing his wife of 10 years in May (2007) saying, “I was just dead.”
The 58-year-old revealed his emotional state during promotion for his new film ‘City of Ember,’ telling The Associated Press, “That was devastating. That was the worst thing that ever happened to me in my entire life.”
Jennifer Butler Murray filed for divorce accusing the ‘Lost In Translation’ star of physical abuse, adultery, abandonment and drug addiction, in documents filed on May 12.
“I was just dead, just broken,” Murray said. “When you’re really in love with someone and this happens — I never had anything like this happen. It’s like your faith in people is destroyed because the person you trusted the most you can no longer trust at all… The person you know isn’t there anymore.”
