Don’t mistake ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively for blonde socialite Paris Hilton - they might have the same golden locks and similar pocket-sized dogs, but that’s where the similarities end, according to Lively.

The 20-year-old actress tells Seventeen magazine, in the August issue released out July 8, that other than working in the same industry, the two blonde bombshells have nothing in common.

“I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hilton – since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we’re alike,” Lively says.

“It’s a dumb thing to say. I don’t think that makes Paris and me similar… I don’t go to clubs, I don’t party, I don’t dance on tables, and I don’t like sex tapes.”

Lively - the youngest of five children - also admits that, unlike the troubled teen socialite she plays on ‘Gossip Girl’, her real-life relationship with 21-year-old costar Penn Badgley is remarkably normal and hassle-free.

“Penn does these silly dance moves, and he’s very witty and quick, so it’s fun to have sharp banter with him,” she tells the magazine.

However, Lively does believe she has one thing in common with her television alter-ego, Serena van der Woodsen – Lively is as passionate in real life as she is on-screen, she says.

“When I care about somebody, whether it’s my best friend or somebody who I would date, I give them all of my heart,” the actress says.

“I’ve just been so loved, and I’m used to really loving people and trusting them.”
