Bobby Brown Heart Attack Rumors False

October 10th, 2007

Reports that Bobby Brown suffered a mild heart attack on Tuesday (October 9) are false, with the singer stating that he’s got "a clean bill of health", despite gossip site TMZ claiming that he filmed a death-bed video for his family.

According to reports, Brown was taken to Tarzana Regional Medical Center in Los Angeles with his attorney, Phaedra Parks, telling US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’ that he "went to the hospital yesterday with severe chest pains and today they found out that he had had a mild heart attack. He has just been released and his prognosis is good."

Parks told TMZ that the heart attack was caused through "stress and diet" and "he has been examined and doctors determined there is no blockage but inflammation of the heart."

However, the rumors have turned out to be completely false, with Brown telling Lee Bailey from eurweb.com, "I heard that I had a heart attack earlier, but I didn’t. I was in the hospital for a check up. I’m going out on this tour, so I gotta make sure all my vitals and everything is straight. So I just had some procedures done and the doc cleared me so I can do what I do."

In regards to the misinformation that Parks gave out, Brown says, "She got bad information from somewhere else, and that just goes to show that people need to talk to each other more often in order to make things right."

Brown is about to head out on the New Jack Swing tour with fellow New Edition member Johnny Gill, along with Aaron Hall, K-Ci and Jo-Jo.

"But everything’s all right with me," Brown confirms.

"I got a clean bill of health and everything’s fine. I’m ready to get on this road and do these shows and take care of what I gotta take care of."
