Bono To Become A Newspaper Columnist

January 11th, 2009

Bono has landed a job outside of fronting the biggest rock band on the planet, scoring a permanent gig as a newspaper columnist for The New York Times.

The rocker’s first column, which will feature occasionally, appears in this Sunday’s edition and he will also voice a podcast for the paper’s website.

Bono, 48, said it was “an honor” to be writing for the NY Times, adding he has “never been great with full stops of commas.”
