Boy Arrested Over Hannah Montana Plane Attack Plot

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged, after it was discovered that he planned to hijack a commercial airliner with the intention of crashing it into a Miley Cyrus concert.
Cyrus, the 15-year-old star of Disney’s Hannah Montana, is currently on her North American tour, with a concert scheduled for Friday night (January 25) at the Lafayette Cajendome in Louisiana.
CNN.com reports that the boy was taken into custody after he boarded a flight from Los Angeles to Nashville carrying handcuffs, duct tape and type of rope or yarn, the FBI said.
According to two CNN affiliates in Nashville, the teenager wanted to crash the plane into the Hannah Montana concert, however, FBI spokesman George Bolds said that he had no information on whether the concert was the intended target.
"His stated intent was to hijack the airplane and commit suicide," Bolds said.
"He did indicate he intended to die in Louisiana. It appears he had a ticket to Louisiana."
The 16-year-old boy is being held by authorities and could face federal charges, with WTVF Nashville reporting that he has been charged with felony terrorism.
