Brad Pitt Donates Cash For Gay Rights

Brad Pitt announced on Wednesday (September 17) that he is donating $100,000 to fight California’s Proposition 8 and stop a ballot from overturning the right to gay marriage.
The actor made the donation to the group Californians Against Eliminating Basic Rights, urging voters to saying no to Proposition 8 because, if passed at the General Election ballot, Californian Constitution would no longer recognize same sex marriage.
Pitt announced his gift in a statement saying, “Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8.”
