Brian McFadden: I’ve Moved On From Westlife

March 5th, 2008

British tabloids are reporting that Irish singer Brian McFadden has called his former boyband, Westlife, asking to be part of their reunion tour – which is a surprise to McFadden, who says he "never have and never will ask Westlife to rejoin them".

According to the UK’s Sunday Mirror, the 27-year-old called Westlife asking for a reunion tour, but "they don’t want him back".

The story quotes band member Kian Egan as saying, "He left the group and you can’t expect us to take him back. I told him: ‘You’re never going to be in Westlife again. Accept it!’"

McFadden released a statement on Wednesday (March 5) through his Australian record label denying that he ever approached his former bandmate.

"I never have and never will ask Westlife to rejoin them," he said.

"My reasons for leaving Westlife still remain as strong today as when I left. I wish them the best but it’s not for me and I’ve happily moved on."

Brian is stupid for leaving Westlife. He thought he could be like Robbie Williams and have a successful solo career. Brian was lots of fun when he was in Westlife, now, as a solo artist, he is sooo BORING!!!!!!!!! He only whines and complains now.
