Britney Names Album and Goes Number 1

October 8th, 2007

Britney Spears may be struggling in her personal life, but her music career has bounced back with the singer’s video for ‘Gimme More’ becoming the number 1 most downloaded film clip on the US iTunes Chart this week.

It’s been four years since Spears’ last album, ‘In The Zone’, with many speculating that her current crop of songs will be less than stellar – however, in one week, Spears went from number 68 to number 3 on the Billboard downloads chart, and reached number 1 most downloaded on the US iTunes chart.

The new album, entitled ‘Blackout’ ,is set to be released on November 13, with her record label, Jive, revealing that the title "refers to blocking out negativity and embracing life fully".
