Britney Spears Not Doing The Emmys

Following last Sunday’s (September 9) performance as the opening act of the MTV Video Music Awards, rumors have been circulating that Britney Spears will perform as part of this weekend’s Emmy Awards – however her rep has denied the reports.
According to the rumors, Spears’ management was in talks with the Fox network in an attempt to have her perform as part of television’s "night of nights", with her appearance acting as an apology for her universally panned MTV performance.
A spokesperson for the pop star’s recording label, Jive, has told usmagazine.com, "Britney Spears has no plans to appear on the Emmys this Sunday."
