Britney Spears Not Singing At Mel Gibson’s Church

Following reports that Britney Spears and Mel Gibson had lunch together in Los Angeles this week, British tabloids have alleged that the popstar is set to perform for Gibson’s church - a rumor that doesn’t have "an ounce of truth to it", according to his rep.

According to the UK’s Mirror.co.uk, the ‘Lethal Weapon’ star "wants to help the troubled Toxic singer see the light and rediscover God", and "has miraculously roped her into performing a gospel gig at his catholic church in California."

A ’source’ is quoted as saying, "They are working on arrangements and will agree on something in time for Britney singing at a Sunday service in late April."

"There is the possibility that she may even have a new song written for her for the occasion."

However, Gibson’s representative has squashed the reports, telling TMZ.com that there isn’t "an ounce of truth to it."
