Britney Spears has released a statement personally responding to the Australian media, after the popstar has come under fire for lip-syncing during her trip down under.
“I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show,” Spears said in a short statement released Tuesday (November 10).
“Some reporters have said they love it and some don’t. I came to Australia for my fans!”
While she’s been in Australia, Spears has been spending her spare time shopping, posting a message on her Twitter saying, “Went shopping on Collins Street yesterday and got a lot of my Christmas presents. Melbourne is beautiful. Can’t wait to see more.”

Hi Ms Spears,
I know lots of people that went to your show and said it was awesome, I didnt go and Im really annoyed I was able to but im sure it was a wicked show. Don't listen to these people as there are always going to be people that want to whinge and moan and cause grief when there isnt a problem. They are the type of people that are not happy with themselves so they have to put down successful hard working people such as yourself. I know this may not mean much but im proud of what you have done and pursuing your career and also putting up with the media its a job in its self! You have achieved so much in your life with your career and family. I say WELL DONE and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! You seem like a really beautiful person and I wish you all the best!!!
xoxo
