Britney Spears Shows Up 100 Minutes Late To Deposition

January 3rd, 2008

Britney Spears was scheduled to appear at a two-hour deposition hearing on Thursday (January 3) in support of her child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, but attended for just 14 minutes before the hearing ended.

This is the fifth time the deposition has been organised, following several previous dates at which Spears failed to show up.

The hearing was to commence at 9:45am at the office of Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan.

"The deposition proceeding did go forward today. It was sheduled for 9:45 to 11:45," Kaplan told the waiting media following Spears’ departure.

"However, it wasn’t able to commence until 11:32 (upon Spears’ arrival). You can imagine in 14 minutes, there’s not a lot of time to develop questions."

Kaplan said another deposition will be scheduled shortly.
