The Britney Spears promotional machine has hit overdrive in the lead up to her new album ‘Circus’, with her record company releasing an interview of the pop princess talking about the record and why she chose the title.

Spears’ first album since getting her life in order, after a tumultuous couple of years of personal problems, is released on December 2nd to coincide with her birthday.

“This is something that I’ve worked on for a really long time,” Spears says in the video.  “So I’m very excited about putting the new album out.

“The timings perfect, it’s my birthday and I’m really excited.  I can’t wait to share it with my fans.”

Spears explains why she chose ‘Circus’ as the album title saying,  “I like the fact you’re always on the edge of your seat, when you’re at a circus. You always want to know what’s gonna happen next and you’re never bored.

“You’re just so entertained and really engulfed in what’s going on around you and you want to be aware and know what’s gonna happen next.”
