Despite some gossip blogs stating otherwise, Britney Spears will not be performing at Monday (August 10) night’s Teen Choice Awards, her reps have announced.

Earlier reports out of Team Spears claimed the popstar would take to the stage for the show, however, an updated statement was posted on her official website:

“Britney is appearing, not performing at the TCAs. We are deeply sorry for any confusion and disappointment and appreciate the ongoing dedication of Britney’s wonderful fans.”
