Brittany Murphy and her husband have stated that the constant attention from the gossip columns when they first married, "made us laugh, it’s made us cry, but it’s made us stronger," adding that they’re looking to start a family soon.

Speaking to People.com at the W Magazine - Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art gala last weekend, the couple discussed having their lives dragged through "the blogs" following their wedding almost 12 months ago.

"All these ridiculous people came out and said all this nonsense when we got married," said Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack. "Thank god we had the substance and the history within that to [say], ‘Yeah, whatever!’"

"We still don’t understand what happened," he adds discussing the attention their relationship received. "It’s made us laugh, it’s made us cry, but it’s made us stronger."

Murphy, who celebrates her first anniversary with Monjack on April 12, said they’ve avoided the web saying, "We did stop using the Internet lately.  No blogs.  We’re a blog-free couple!"

As for when when the couple plan on starting a family, the 30-year-old actress says, "In about a year."

Monjack cheekily adds, "apparently according to the internet, I already have several!"
