Brittany Murphy Not Fired By Disney

A spokesperson for Disney has denied online gossip that Brittany Murphy was fired by the company and replaced as the voice of the new ‘Tinkerbell’.
Perez Hilton posted a story under the heading ‘Fired!!!!‘ stating that "Disney has just axed Brittany from their deal with her," and claims "industry insiders comment more on her erratic behavior and crazy husband than her career (or lack of one)."
Numerous copycat sites have posted the same story leading a Disney representative to explain that, "When (animator and chief creative officer at Disney) John Lasseter came on board, the schedule changed, and the new schedule didn’t work for her."
Mae Whitman was announced by the company as Murphy’s replacement.
