Brooke Shields Denies Rep’s Statement On Kiefer Sutherland

May 12th, 2009

Brooke Shields has revealed that Kiefer Sutherland “has always been a gentleman” to her and says that a statement released by her rep’s last week, regarding the now famous headbutting incident, was not authorized by her.

Her spokesperson released a statement following last week’s incident where she was reportedly knocked over by Jack McCollough at a party in New York, with Sutherland allegedly headbutting the designer after he refused to apologize.

“Jack did nothing inappropriate,” Shields’ rep said last week. “It’s not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did,” adding that McCollough “did absolutely nothing to her.”

However, the Lipstick Jungle star tells TMZ that the statement attributed to her was “neither true nor authorized,” saying she “was bumped into by Jack McCollough and Kiefer Sutherland became concerned.”

“Kiefer has always been a gentleman in my company.”

The 24 star, who is currently on probation for a DUI, was charged with misdemeanor assault and could face a maximum of 11 months in jail if convicted.
