A spokeswoman for Showtime, the makers of David Duchovny’s hit tv show ‘Californication,’ have said that the second season will screen as as planned but plans for a third “have yet to be decided,” following the actor’s admission into a treatment facility to battle a sex addiction.

Duchovny announced on August 28 that he “voluntarily entered” the center and asked for “respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

The latest series of ‘Californication,’ in which the actor plays a sex-addicted novelist who’s suffering from writers block, will debut on September 28 in the U.S. as scheduled.

However, a spokesperson for Showtime told the New York Post that plans for a third series “have yet to be decided.”
