Katy Perry’s dream run of hit singles continues with her latest Wide Awake. The new music video shows Perry meeting her Handsome Prince and promptly punching him in the face!

“This song in particular is a dose of reality,” Perry told MTV.  “It’s kind of like coming down from a high. Aaron Carter has denied a story published by the Australian edition of OK Magazine that claims Michael Jackson gave him cocaine and alcohol.

According to the mag, Carter said, “Yes, [Michael Jackson] gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15. As for drugs? He gave me cocaine.”

However, Carter’s rep was quick to defuse the story saying, “Nothing was said that was reported.” (more…)

At first glance we thought, “Here we go again,” but it seems that Lindsay Lohan has been the victim of a false alarm after her monitoring device went off, despite the actress being under house arrest.

“Lindsay’s electronic monitoring system went off on Monday,” Shawn Chapman Holley, Lindsay’s attorney, said in a statement. “When a representative from the monitoring company went to her home, the representative found Lindsay there. The equipment was replaced the following day.” (more…)

Here’s the controversial music video for Rihanna’s Man Down, which has seen parental groups up in arms as the singer shoots an alleged rapist in the opening scene.

“We just wanted to hone in on a very serious matter that people are afraid to address, especially if you’ve been victimized in this scenario,” Rihanna said in a statement.

“I’ve been abused in the past and you don’t see me running around killing people in my spare time,” she said. “I just really want girls to be careful. Have fun, be sassy, be innocent and sweet, be everything that you are. But just try not to be naive. If I can be a voice for so many that aren’t heard, then I win twice.” (more…)

P!nk and her husband Carey Hart announced the birth of their daughter on Thursday (June 2), writing on Twitter, “We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She’s gorgeous, just like her daddy.”

The singer’s rep said she checked into a treatment program in London on “doctor’s advice” because she wants to be in the right frame of mind to tour Europe this summer.
