Celebrity Twitter Update: Los Angeles Earthquake May 17

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake has hit Los Angeles this evening (May 17), and just like the 4.4 quake that rocked the Westlake Village area on May 1, celebrities in the region were quick to Twitter about it.
There are no immediate reports of any major injuries or damage, and preliminary reports suggest that the magnitude-5.0 quake hit 10 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles, near Inglewood, at 8:39 pm. Here’s what some of the twilebrities posted minutes after the quake hit:
Emily Rossum: “Was it just me or did we just have an earthquake?!” followed by, “Nuts. The dogs went crazy! they were so confused as to why the windows and floors were shaking!”
Ryan Seacrest: “Quake! Ya’l feel it in LA?…all good here.”
“Hearing was a 4.7 quake maybe centered in long beach or close to it. Seems like all is ok”

I knew it was coming. My cats always get real “clingy” and follow me around before any earthquake. Otherwise they are aloof and mostly ignore me. This “attentiveness” started yesterday. I knew it was coming … just didn’t know when.
I felt it around 8:30-35 this evening here in Santa Monica.
Just hope eveyone near the epicenter are alright.

Long Beach,ca – was like a sudden boom- 8:30 this evening! The plate glass bowed and flexed coming out of a 7 Eleven. All the signal lights were bouncing! Scary stuff…..watch out for after shocks.

What the f*** was that…Only just arrived in LA from Australia..Staying overnite in Motel6 Inglewood LAX…The building shook for probably 12-15secs…It was better than a theme park ride…flying out tomorrow to Nashville on songwriter duties…

Apparantely it peaked at a 4.7 near inglewood and no one was hurt in LA. We were jamming at the time outside at my friends for my actual bday party, and we didn’t feel the quake. I think we were zoned out in the tunes we were playing in Hollywood and some people came out of the rooms and started talking about what they felt. Glad everyones safe! i was at a wedding…the bride was standing on a chair she was going to throw the buquet…i felt some shaking it was small bearly then i saw the bride she almost fell then the shake became stronger and it didnt make sence that the reason there was a shake was because the bride almost fell…then i looked around everyone was alarmed we were outside and i felt as if someone pulled back and forth once i was stumbling first thing i thought was go under the table…it was funnyt though cause as soon as the big shake passed everyone continued dancing while the after shock was still creating a 2.0 shake
