Celine Dion Cancels Concert After Abuse

Celine Dion has cancelled a show in Halifax, Canada, after the local press reportedly berated her, with her manager and husband, Rene Angelil, declaring "I’ve never seen a reaction like that about Celine coming to entertain."
The Halifax Daily News journalist David Rodenhiser ran a column on November 8 under the heading "Like her or not, it’s good news," writing "Oh, no. Say it ain’t so. Celine Dion is our big Concert on the Common news? What could be more of a letdown?"
Rodenhiser, who calls himself a supporter of the concert, then writes, "A successful Dion performance here will actually help build Hailfax’s reputation as a place for A-list artists, helping us secure more rock megaconcerts in the future."
The story drew strong online criticism from residents against Dion, resulting in the cancellation of her concert.
"I’m gonna tell you something and I hope everyone is listening," Angelil said in a phone interview with Halifax media on Tuesday (November 20). "Don’t try to find any reasons for cancelling the concert. There’s only one reason and you know what it is. I’m not saying that all people in Halifax are negative, but… this is a question of feeling. We’re humans. If you would go to a city and you read day after day… ‘This is not for you, you shouldn’t have come, I expected someone else,’ I don’t know how you would feel about going there."
Angelil admitted during the conversation that Dion has her critics saying, "We get negative reactions all the time when they review her records or shows. I mean, this is part of the game. But we never got negative reactions before an event."
He added, "Wait until she performs and then you can say whatever you want about Celine."

Celine I like.her freaky weird husband has always been well lets just say….controlling,egotistical and a groupie that would be considered by any person nothing less than a leach,He spends more time gambling and acting like he is a some one than actually tending to business. What an asshole!

I think she was right to cancel the concert, why go somwhere you’re not wanted, and all of you that are talking negative, you’re probably just ticked off because you had tickets….lol
