Charlie Sheen’s Baby Boy Still In Hospital

April 3rd, 2009

Charlie Sheen’s rep has released a statement denying reports that the actor’s newborn son Max has a heart condition, but says he is yet to leave the hospital due to problems with weight gain.

The Two and a Half Men star and his wife Brooke Mueller welcomed twins Max and Bob in Los Angeles on March 14, with Stan Rosenfield releasing the following statement:

“Charlie and Brooke’s infant son Max remains in the hospital, not because of a heart condition as reported, but because he has not gained the weight necessary to leave hospital.  Max is expected to reach the weight requirement shortly and will join his brother at home.”

Sheen commented on his son’s condition adding, “The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term.  I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food; I just didn’t realize that they started so young.”
