In what has been another bizarre day in the life of Britney Spears, the popstar has not been successful in having her visitation rights to her two children restored.
Although not court-enforced, the 26-year-old was scheduled to show up to court at 9:30am today (January 14) for a hearing regarding her January 3 standoff with police, where she refused to handover custody of her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Spears showed up at approximately 1:15pm (Los Angeles Time) and entered the courthouse, before promptly exiting a short time later, while screaming at the paparazzi to "move back, I’m scared… Let me get in my car please", according to TMZ.com.
The singer then headed to the Little Brown Church in the San Fernando Valley, where she stayed for a very short time before heading home.
Speaking outside of the hearing, Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, addressed the throng of awaiting media saying, "The word victory is not something that Mr. Federline, nor his counsel, would ascribe to the result of the court ruling today.
"There is no joyous feeling in this. This grave situation for everyone. At some point, it is Mr. Federline’s hope to parent the minor children with participation from the mother."
Another hearing is scheduled for February 19.
