July 23rd, 2008

The creator of ‘The X-Files’ Chris Carter, has hinted he may make another movie based on the hit television series, depending on how the new film does at the box office.

With ‘The X-Files: I Want To Believe’ about to hit cinema’s worldwide, Carter told The Associated Press that cast and crew are keen pursue the adventures of FBI Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) on the big screen.

“There’s a looming date in 2012 which is part of the literature, if you will, on a Mayan calendar,” Carter explains. “It’s supposed to be when the aliens do something. We’ve mentioned that date a number of times in the series, so it’s something that we certainly would be looking at. I’m not sure exactly how yet, but if there is a next movie, we would consider doing it then.”

Chris, I have been an X-file fan for a decade. The first movie was excellent, but I was so dissappointed when I watched the second one. What I was hoping for was a movie based on the extra terrestrial or “beyond the stars.” Humanity deserves the right to the truth about who we really are. In theis day and time, a new movie with a bigger picture based on strange objects and beings from another world would give justice to 50% of the population that believes we are not alone…
