Christie Brinkley Restraining Order Against Husband Denied

October 10th, 2008

A temporary restraining order filed by Christie Brinkley against her ex-husband Peter Cook on Wednesday (October 8), has been denied by the judge overseeing the case.

Brinkley requested Cook not be permitted to have custody of their children this weekend due to an interview scheduled to screen on US television Friday.

Cook admits to having an affair with an 18-year-old assistant and an online porn habit during a chat with Barbara Walters on ‘20/20.’

Brinkley’s lawyer said in a statement Thursday, “The court order mandates that since Peter Cook has the children this weekend, his parenting has to be away from his home and he can’t expose them to the ‘20/20 broadcast. Christie Brinkley’s sole concern is to protect her children.”

James Winkler, Cook’s attorney told People, “The judge denied her request to suspend visitation. Mr. Cook did agree to take the children out of the area on a little trip this weekend and that he would not expose the children to that interview, which he had no intention of doing anyway.”
