Reports that former supermodel Cindy Crawford is joining the morning television gab-fest ‘The View’ are false according to a spokesperson for the popular show.

The story originated from an article written by Liz Smith, a writer for The New York Post and VAriety, saying that the US television network ABC "is hot on Cindy Crawford.  They want her as a regular on ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘The View’.  She did a great job last week on ABC and nobody can believe this beauty has turned 42."

However, a rep for ‘The View’ explained that, "There is no truth to it.  It is just a rumor that seems to have originated from Liz Smith’s column."
