Clay Aitken Thanks Fans For Support

Clay Aitken has posted a message on his website thanking fans for their support, after announcing he is gay in the latest issue of a U.S. magazine.

The former American Idol, who recently welcomed his first child with best friend Jaymes Foster, told People, “It was the first decision I made as a father. I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.”

Aitken posted a message on his oficial website thanking fans for their support saying, “We’ll ‘talk’ more later, but, suffice it to say, for the first time in recent memory, I am speechless. I’m so proud to know and love all of you.”
