Conan O’Brien says that had he been in Jay Leno’s position, there is no way he’d have taken back The Tonight Show saying that he would’ve ” done something else, go someplace else.”

In a new interview with 60 Minutes, the first since he parted ways with NBC, O’Brien says Leno “went and took that show back and I think in a similar situation, if roles had been reversed, I know – I know me, I wouldn’t have done that.”

He adds, “Everyone’s got their own, you know, way of doing things.”

O’Brien is currently out on his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour and will return to late night television later this year on TBS.
