Michael Lombardo, head of HBO programming on the west coast revealed on Thursday (July 10) that plans are underway for a sequel to ‘Sex and the City’ but has stopped short of putting a time frame on it.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour at the Beverly Hilton, Lombardo said, “There is enormous interest by Warner Brothers Newline to do another ‘Sex and the City’, and I think, in fact, they’re trying with our help to put that together now.”
“When that happens, how long it will be, I can’t say,” he continues. “I think everybody associated with that project was really heartened by, the enthusiasm from the fans of the show.
Sarah Jessica Parker has also had her name attached as executive producer of a new comedy called ‘The Washingtonienne’, based on a book by Jessica Cutler, that is in pilot stage for the network.
