Daniel Craig: Don’t Photograph Me Peeing

November 26th, 2007

Daniel Craig, the latest star to portray James Bond on the big screen, has explained in an interview that someone once attempted to photograph him while in the bathroom, which he says was obviously "not welcome".

During the interview with timesonline.co.uk, Craig reveals how his life has changed since signing up to play 007 in ‘Casino Royale’, which went on to become the most successful Bond movie ever earning nearly $600 million.

However, despite the online petitions trying to oust him as Bond before he’d even shot a single scene, Craig wasn’t about to rub it in his critics faces, saying, "Yes, when it came out and people liked it, believe me, there was no-one happier [than me]. But I wasn’t going to say, ‘F*** you.’ Because there was no need."

Craig reveals that life since the film’s release is a little different due to his new-found fame, but he doesn’t let it get in the way – unless people over step the line.

"You know, if I’m up for it, fine. I have to keep hold of my sense of humour, because you can lose it very quickly and you start retreating into yourself; then you can’t go anywhere unless you are with armed guards, and the whole thing becomes ridiculous. So you have to smile about these things," Craig says.

"But I tell you, trying to take pictures of me when I’m having a piss is not welcome and never will be.And yes, that’s happened."
