David Archuleta’s Dad Embroiled In Prostitution Scandal

The father of ‘American Idol’ runner-up David Archuleta is in the headlines, after he was charged with soliciting a massage parlor prostitute following a raid in January this year.
Archuleta finished second in the popular television series, behind seventh season winner David Cook.
His father, Jeff Archuleta, 41, pleaded no contest and paid a fine of $582, after he was busted during a raid at the Queens of Reiki in Midvale, Utah on January 14.
During the raid, one client was reportedly mid-way through receiving a service.
“Two of our detectives went back to that room to stop the activity,” Midvale Police Sgt. John Salazar said.
“Inside, they found a female masseuse and male client. At that time an interview ensued and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the masseuse.”
According to court documents, Jeff Archuleta was identified as that male client, however his lawyer Eric Bauer told NBC4 in Midvale that he was simply getting a legitimate massage therapy for his back.
