Debra Messing’s TV Show Canceled

Despite the commercial and critical success of its first series, the USA network has pulled the plug on Debra Messing’s tv show ‘The Starter Wife’, after the second series failed to take off.
A statement released by the company called the show a “critical and creative success”, adding that the second series finale served as a “satisfying conclusion”.
‘The Starter Wife’ started life as a mini-series averaging 5 million viewers in 2007, however, figures for the second series dropped to an average of 2.4 million per episode.
