Demi Moore & Nia Vardalos Help Suicidal Twitter Follower

demi-moore-columbiaDemi Moore and My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Nia Vardalos, came to the aid of a Twitter follower on Friday night (March 19) who sent a message to Moore saying he was going to hang himself.

demi moore W magazineA man identified as Jeremy wrote, “I have messed up my life bad. I’m thinking about killing myself,” before addressing Moore directly saying, “I’m about to go hang myself from a tree outside my house and end my life. I have no reason to live anymore.

I am going to send a live feed of me hanging myself. No one cares if I die or not.”

When the Hollywood actress responded, “R U rlly asking 4 help,” Jeremy responded, “Yes.”

During the online conversation, Vardalos wrote to Jeremy saying, “please call 1 800 SUICIDE . I’m on the phone with them right now. They are waiting to talk to you.”

A short time later she added, “Just spoke to FL police again, they’re with Jeremy now. He is ok, it’s not a hoax.”

Both ladies have thanked their followers saying, “Yes am a little shaken. Just want to say thank u Twitter for caring about a stranger in FL last night,” with Moore adding, “Thank you twitterverse for your help supporting someone in pain last night.”
