Three of the biggest names in music, Mariah Carey, Diddy and Lil Wayne, have all announced that their new albums will be dealyed. Find out why and when their new release dates after the jump.
Carey’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, originally set to drop on August 25, will now hit stores on September 15, with the singer still busy putting finishing touches on the album.
“I am happy 2 have some more time,” Carey wrote on Twitter. “Although I really want my fans to have this album right away the desision was absolutely the best for the good of this album so things can be up to par (in terms of promo etc..).”
Last Train To Paris, the new album from Diddy, was due to come out in September, but the rapper told MTV that it’s “Jay-Z time and Drake time — enjoy those guys. But the Train is coming baby. Get your ticket, you don’t want to be left out.”
Lil Wayne’s foray into the rock world, Rebirth, has been delayed until further notice, with the artist not making the original release date of June 23 and no re-scheduled date planned at the time of writing.
