A spokesperson for Adam ‘DJ-AM’ Goldstein confirmed Friday (September 26) that he has been released from hospital, after surviving a plane crash with former Blink 182 member Travis Barker last week.
The pair, who suffered second and third degree burns in the accident, jumped from the burning twin-engine Learjet after it reportedly blew a tyre and aborted take-off, crashing into an embankment killing four others on board.
Goldstein’s spokesperson, Jenni Weinman, said in a statement, “While he is deeply saddened by the events he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends. We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.”
Jermaine Dupri, a friend and business partner of Barker, told People “He’s doing good, he’s gonna be alright. He’s just got a lot of healing to do,” saying he should be out of hospital in about two weeks.
“He’s supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he’s feeling better,” Dupri adds. “He’s definitely feeling the love from everyone.”
