A story that appeared in the Rush & Molloy gossip column in the New York’s Daily Mail claiming that DMX was hospitalized on Thursday (December 20) is "100 percent false", according to the rapper’s record company rep.

According to a ’source’, "DMX was rushed to the hospital yesterday after passing out at the Sony recording studios… His rep didn’t return calls but rumors of substance abuse are swirling, especially after a video hit the internet showing the rapper looking nervous and acting erratically while working on an album."

A spokesperson for DMX, who’s real name is Earl Simmons, has denied the story, saying that the rapper hasn’t been in the studio and "I just spoke to X the day before yesterday, he’s at home in Arizona, so it really doesn’t make any sense to me how they’re saying he was at Sony studios. It’s definately 100 percent false."

His rep at Bodog Music added, "He’s at home with his wife for Christmas."

Scott Mason, Simmons’ entertainment lawyer, claims the video on the net was filmed at least two weeks ago and "has got people thinking that he might on something, that’s what kind of made them wanna make up a story like that."
