Despite a downturn in the world’s housing market, Donald Trump has sold his Palm Beach mansion for $100 million he announced on Wednesday (July 16). Check out photos of the house here.
The business mogul told The Associated Press in a phone interview, “In an age of so many people getting hurt in real estate, it shows that you can still do well in real estate.”
Trump bought the oceanfront property, called Maison de L’Amitie, at auction for $41 million in 2004 from bankrupt health care magnate Abraham Gosman.
The 62,000 square feet house has 18 bedrooms, 20-to-40-foot ceilings, a ballroom, 4,100 square-foot conservatory, art gallery, two guest houses and a media room.
Russian fertilizer billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev bought the property following extensive renovations overseen by Kendra Todd, the series three winner of Trump’s tv show ‘The Apprentice.’
Trump continues, “I think it’s a great sign for the area, a great sign for Palm Beach and all that Palm Beach represents.”
