Donnie Wahlberg Frustrated By NKOTB Comeback

April 14th, 2008

New Kids On The Block band member Donnie Wahlberg has revealed that he was "frustrated" by the group’s first comeback appearance on national television, as the band was not able to play any new music for the fans.

In a blog posted on the group’s official website, Wahlberg writes about NKOTB’s announcement on the US Today show that they have re-formed, and have a new album and concert tour.

"I do have mixed feelings about appearing on the show," he writes.

"Obviously the response was great and I am happy for that. I was, however, very frustrated that we could not lead with our new music first!!! We’ve been working so hard on this album and I am personally so proud of what we’ve done."

The former chart-toppers are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their new album, and have announced details of a forthcoming tour. They kicked off their promotional campaign with a performance on the Today show on May 14.

"I can only say this," Walberg says. "To all the loyal fans out there, to all the folks who are not fans but maybe curious, and even to the skeptics: this album will be well worth the wait."

The actor/musician says that he is going to disappear for a while to finish working on the album, adding, "You will not see me again until you have heard NEW MUSIC!!!!!"

Thanks for posting this. It’s nice to see positive articles in a sea of bloggers pretending to be journalists.

I just finished listening to Nasri’s songs on his myspace and he is amazing. He is actually the reason the NKOTB is getting back together. Go check him out and have a listen you will love his music.

My favorite song is “NOT THE SAME”

He also wrote the new song Click Click Click and “summertime” for the NKOTB.
